This model is the “E” version (External antenna), meaning it requires separate external antennas, making it ideal for custom coverage designs, outdoor deployments, or challenging RF environments.
It supports 4x4:4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA, enabling efficient handling of many simultaneous clients while maintaining high throughput and low latency.
With Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, the AP can deliver multi-gigabit wireless speeds (up to ~5.3 Gbps theoretical) and improved performance in crowded networks such as offices, campuses, and public venues.
The device includes a multigigabit Ethernet port (up to 2.5G) and is powered via PoE+ (802.3at) or Cisco UPOE, ensuring flexible deployment.
It runs on Cisco IOS XE and integrates with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers or can operate using Embedded Wireless Controller (EWC) mode for controller-less deployments.
