The Cisco N7K-F312FQ-25 is a high-performance, 12-port 40 Gigabit Ethernet module designed for the Cisco Nexus 7000 Series switches. Engineered to deliver ultra-low latency and high-density connectivity, this module is ideal for data centers requiring advanced traffic handling and scalability. Each of its 12 QSFP+ ports provides 40GbE connections, and ports can be broken out to offer up to 48 10GbE connections using appropriate breakout cables, allowing versatile configurations.
This module supports essential data center technologies, including MPLS, VXLAN, FabricPath, and Virtual Device Contexts (VDCs), enabling it to function in complex, multi-tenant, and cloud environments. Its integration with Cisco’s FabricPath technology supports resilient Layer 2 networking, while VXLAN enables seamless workload mobility across Layer 3 boundaries, making it well-suited for cloud and virtualized environments.
